เมื่อกลางเดือนที่ผ่านมา Apple Inc. เปิดตัวโปรแกรมออฟฟิศ ภายใต้ชื่อ iWork ที่ประกอบด้วยโปรแกรมสำคัญ 3 โปรแกรมคือ Keynote, Pages และ Numbers
เราก็ไม่รอช้า ทำการดาวน์โหลดตัวทดลองใช้มาเล่นซะเลย ^^ (Apple ให้ดาวน์โหลดเวอร์ชั่น 30 วัน ให้คนที่สนใจทดลองโหลดมาใช้)

เมื่อคืนวันที่ 7 ส.ค. แอปเปิ้ลทำการเปิดตัวคอมพิวเตอร์ตั้งโต๊ะโฮมยูส รหัส iMac รุ่นล่าสุด (รุ่นที่ 4) หลังจาก iMac G5 (และ iMac Intel) วางขายมานานเป็นปี โดยตอนนี้ iMac รุ่นใหม่ มีขนาด 20 นิ้วและ 24 นิ้วให้เลือกเท่านั้น ข้อมูลอื่นๆ ดูได้ที่เว็บไซต์ apple.com/imac
ดูจากรูปภาพแล้วสวยโดนใจจริงๆ แต่ไม่รู้ตัวจริงจะสวยเหมือนในภาพรึป่าว อันนี้ต้องรอดู :p

วันนี้คิดว่าควรจะเคลียข้อมูลในคอมพิวเตอร์เสียบ้างหลังจากพักหลังต้องบริหารพื้นที่ฮาร์ดไดรฟ์เกือบตลอดเวลา หลังจากลบไฟล์ขยะออกไปจำนวนหนึ่ง ก็คิดว่าต้องลบโปรแกรม (Uninstall) บางโปรแกรมที่ไม่ได้ใช้บ้างดีกว่า
โดยปกติการลบโปรแกรมในระบบ Mac OS X นั้นไม่ใช่เรื่องยุ่งยาก เพียงแค่ลากโฟลเดอร์ที่เป็น .app ลงถังขยะแล้ว Empty Trash ได้ทันที (ส่วนมากโปรแกรมใน Mac OS X จะเขียนและรวมรวมอยู่ในโฟลเดอร์เดียว แล้วตั้งชื่อโฟลเดอร์ลงท้ายด้วย .app เพื่อระบุว่านี่เป็น application - เราสามารถคลิกขวาแล้วเลือก Show Package Contents เพื่อเรียกดูข้อมูลภายในได้) แต่บางครั้ง บางโปรแกรมอาจมีไฟล์หรือโฟลเดอร์ที่เกี่ยวข้องมากกว่า 1 ที่ ควรจะตามหาและจัดการทิ้งไปให้หมด

เริ่มจากโปรแกรมทำซ้ำซ้อน iWork ที่มีทั้งสองชุดคือชุด 05 และชุด 06 (ขนาดต่างกันเยอะ 05 มีขนาดประมาณ 650 MB แต่ 06 มีขนาดกว่า 1.6 GB) ก็จัดการลบ iWork 05 ตามแผนผังดังนี้

- The applications are placed in the folder /Applications/iWork
- The iWork Tour is placed in the folder /Library/Application Support/iWork
- PDF files of the user’s guides are placed in the folder /Library/Documentation/Applications/iWork
ส่วนที่เป็น Preference เล็กๆ ไม่ได้ลบเพราะไม่แน่ใจว่าลบแล้วจะมีผลกับชุด 06 หรือเปล่า อีกอย่างเป็นไฟล์ขนาดเล็กน้อยกว่า 10 KB ทั้งนั้น

ต่อมาก็ Zinio Reader โปรแกรมเปิดไฟล์หนังสืออิเล็คทรอนิค คือเคยฮิตอยู่พักนึง (ช่วงเวลานั้นสั้นมาก :p) เพราะมันไม่มีหนังสือที่น่าสนใจให้โหลด(ฟรี)เลย แถมหนังสือภาษาไทย ที่ขายอยู่ราคาไม่ห่างจากฉบับพิมพ์ จนคิดว่าซื้อฉบับตีพิมพ์อ่านดีกว่า
How do I uninstall the Zinio Reader for Mac?
1. Make sure the Zinio Reader and Zinio Delivery Manager are closed and do not appear in your Dock.
2. From the Finder, drag the following folders to the Trash:
- /Applications/Zinio Reader (this folder is called Zinio in build 418 and later)
- /Users/Library/Preferences/ContentGuard
- /Users/Library/Preferences/Zinio Notes
3. In that same Preferences folder, delete the following files:
- com.zinio.reader.plist
- Zinio.plist

หลังจากโปรแกรมเล็กไปแล้วก็มาถึงคราวโปรแกรมขนาดใหญ่กันบ้าง Virtual PC 6 เป็นอีกโปรแกรมหนึ่งที่คิดว่าตอนนี้ยังไม่ต้องใช้เงาน เลยเอาออกจากเครื่องดีกว่า

สุดท้ายของวันนี้ เป็นโปรแกรมไม่ใหญ่นักแต่ไฟล์สำหรับการทำงานกระจายไปตามโฟลเดอร์ต่างๆเยอะที่สุด ก่อนหน้านี้เคยลงโปรแกรม LiveType (โปรแกรมเสริมสำหรับ Final Cut Pro แต่สามารถติดตั้งเพื่อใช้งานเพียงโปรแกรมเดียวได้) เพื่อสร้างตัวหนังสือสำหรับไฟล์วิดีโอ แต่ตอนนี้มันเกิดปัญหาติดขัดนิดหน่อยเลยคิดว่าเอาออกไปซะก่อนดีกว่า - แผนผังที่จะให้ดูต่อไปนี้เป็นการ Uninstall Final Cut Express HD ที่มี LiveType ไปเกี่ยวข้อง เลยใช้แผงผังเดียวกันนี้ในการ Uninstall LiveType เสียเลย (คิดว่า)คงไม่ต่างกัน
How to Uninstall Final Cut Express HD
The Final Cut Express HD installer does not include an uninstall option. When you install the application, the Final Cut Express HD installer installs all the folders and files listed below. If you want to uninstall the application, delete these items from the following locations on your computer (some items may not be present, depending on what you installed).
Note: You can easily access these locations using the "Go to Folder" feature in the Finder (from the Go menu, choose Go to Folder, then enter the directory name in the resulting dialog).
